What is a fanlisting?
A fanlisting is a place for all fans of a particular subject, character, show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. It's something like a mini fan club. It allows you to get in touch with other fans of your favorite character or story worldwide

About Ed and Ross
(Spoilers from episode 18)
Edward Elric and Maria Ross are characters from the series Full Metal Alchemist (also known as Hagane no Renkinjutsushi). Edward is the main character, while Ross is a minor character who interacts with him during a few episodes. However, I was touched by the development of their relationship.
Edward is a 15 year old alchemist who travels around the world with his brother Alphonse in a quest to find the legendary Philosophers Stone, in order to regain their original bodies, which they lost when trying to revive their mother by using human alchemy.
Maria Ross is a 2nd Lieutenant of the military at Central city and usually works with Sergeant Denny Brosh as partners. They are assigned to protect the Elric brothers while they are in Central researching about the Philosophers Stone, since there is a murderer of alchemists who goes after Ed.
From the beggining, Ross shows some affection for the kids (since they are so cute and innocent ^_~), although Ed is not very happy with the idea of having escorts following him everywhere, he complains about it and even tries to ignore them at first. Ross and Brosh not just watch them, but also take care of them, care about them and help them with the research.
When Ed makes a disappointing discovery about his research and is about to give up, Ross tries to cheer him up and encourages him to continue. Later, Ed and Al sneak off and they get in trouble. As soon as they find out, Brosh and Ross run to help them, finding Ed in a very dangerous situation when he´s about to die. In that moment, Ross doesn´t hesitate to step forward and save him, risking her own life and hugging him motherly (one of the most touching moments in the whole series... at least for me :P).
Well, Ed is my favourite character (so cute and chibi ^_^), and I liked Ross from the first time I saw her. I soon noticed how much she cared for the children (beacause, although they often act like adults, the Elric brothers are still children after all), and she was worried because she knew they were getting into something dangerous. And when I saw the hug, I thought: "How cute! That´s truly maternal instinct" (it wasn´t hard to find a title for this fanlisting ^^). I think poor Ed really needed that hug, because he has been alone for so many years and doesn´t have a mother, and Ross had developed motherly feelings for him and his brother. Even so, this is not the only moment I like about them. Later, when Ed is in hospital and she slaps him for being so irresponsible, you can see she was worried about him, and the slap is just a way to show how much she cares. Ed understands so and apologizes for worrying her.
Also, when Ross and Brosh find out the military are after the Elric brothers to capture them, they travel to their hometown to warn them and protect them (because I´m sure they trust them and know they are innocent). And then, when the military capture the Tringham brothers mistaking them for the Elrics, Ross and Brosh run to help them escape (believing they are Ed and Al, that´s another moment when they don´t doubt their innocence).
